01Research

We investigate what intelligent systems do, not what they are said to do.

Our research program is organized around three pillars. Each one starts from the same place: an explanation that no longer holds.

01Pillar

Behavioral research

How do models and agents actually behave, compared with how they are documented to behave?

We measure behavior across models, versions, and settings, and track how it drifts. That includes compliance, refusal, deception, sycophancy, and the gap between stated reasoning and action.

02Pillar

Adversarial testing

Where do guardrails, defenses, and instructions break under deliberate pressure?

We attack defenses methodically, as an attacker would, and record every attempt. The result is a map of failure classes, not a collection of clever prompts.

03Pillar

Systems in operation

What happens when autonomous systems act in real environments, including their own?

Agents with tools, memory, and permissions behave differently from chat models. We study what they do when given room: how they route around restrictions, and how they report on their own work.

02Standards

What a finding has to meet before we publish it.

Versioned
Every result names the model, version, date, and configuration it was observed on.
Logged
Every probe, response, and decision is recorded. Negative results are kept.
Reproducible
Methods are written so another team can run them and reach the same result, or show that we were wrong.
Disclosed first
Vendors are told about serious findings before we publish them.
03Publications

No publications yet.

Our first reports are being reproduced and reviewed. They will appear here, with methods and data, when they are ready.
